Ground Zero NC-1650

Im from Sweden and because my German ain´t so good I´ll try to write in english instead.

Ground Zero are a new brand i Sweden which makes it very hard to gather opinions about a product that you are interested to buy. Therefore i´m trying to ask you guys/girls!
If you know a better place/forum to ask about Ground Zero products i´m all open for sugestions.

Ground Zero has recently released there speakers (lautsprechers) in the nuclear series, the GZNC-1650. It´s a rather expensive speakerkit (500euros) and I wonder if anyone of you have listened to it or have herd anything about it?

I´m also very interested in opinions on the GZHA-2350X if anyone has listened to it.
If you would compare it to Rockford Fosgates 800.2 or 800a2 how would it come out you think?
The effekt (leistung) is not so important, it´s the "punch" (or the control over the speaker you could say) thats important. I want my amplifier (endstufe) to keep the cone on the speaker in an ironhand :)

Many thanks in advance / Lars, a dedicated soundfanatic.

Hello from good old germany :)

I possess a gzha-2350x and I am very content thereby. It operates 2 paralle subwoofer and has despite the 1 ohm good control at any time. Only if I go to the power reserves, it becomes somewhat spongelike, but then it`s no more fun to sit inside the car :)

I have however unfortunately no comparison to the Rockford.

What a sub is to operate at the GZ?

Greetz

I hope I didn`t make to much mistakes, but my last english lesson was in 1999 :)

Hello,
My last Sub-Amp was the GZHA2350X. And its a very Powerfull Amp, but it sounds fat, like Rockford for example. But with a Ground Zero Subwoofer you have a great Kombination for Hip-Hop. The Control is Ok but Rockford has a Higher DF so the Control is better but the Rockford sounds even fat.
The System is not known in Germany i mean the highest Loudspeaker System here ist the GZUC16 so cannot say something about it.
I`dont know which Products you can buy in Sweden here ist Steg, Kicker, Hifonics and some very Good German Products like Exact!, Brax and Andrian Audio availible.
But you can look for Scan Speak this Systems are absolutly great and are produced in Denmark.
My English is not very good but i try it as often as i can.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences!
Your english is definetly approved:-)

My plan/thoughts is to let one gzha-2350x power a gznc-1650 at 4ohm (want the control 4ohm gives) and let one gzha-2350x power a single GZHW 30.

The goal with the install is not to create a splmonster so one sub is enough, i´m not shure though if the combination gzha-2350x and GZHW 30 gives me the SQ i´m looking for. If the combination will sound a bit fat it will not suit the metal i´m mostly playing.
The spl will most definetly be more than I need anyway.

Of the brands you wrote only Kicker is avaliable in Sweden and it´s very common which makes it a bit boring even though they make nice products. Scan Speak is a Very nice brand though I only thought they manufactoured speakers for hifi indoors.

The problem is that haven´t got the chance to listen on the products before i´ve ordered them, i´m living a long way from any retailers.

Hi,
the GZHA2350X is only a Sub AMP!!! It has no Highpass Filter and you can only use it if you have Active Weichen in your Radio. I think a GZHA 4350x or an Nuclear Amp are the ones for the System.
To that Woofer the Ground Zero is good. But in my opinion more for Hip-Hop the Woofer is not very fast and if you want to have SQ you have to look. But if you want GZ it`s Ok.

The entire system will be controlled with active filters from a old pioneer p99 so thats not a problem.

If the GZHW 30 is a bit slow it´s nothing I want, the keyword i´m looking for is control och speed.

The uranium subs then? Do they suit more for SQ?
If they do, how much power do they need to start moving?

Hi,
the p99 is a good Headunit. But you will be the first ever who places a GZHA2350X on the Frontsystem, please tell me about the Sound I´m Very interesseted in that!
All GZ Subs aren`t fast, thats my opinion. Without the Plutonium B) you can make all GZ-Subs move very good with 1KW Power. :D
If you can look for Digital Design this Woofers are extremly fast and the sound is very good. But they aren`t cheap, the 3515 i want to buy sells 599 Euro but they cum very Fast, Hard and Loud.

Why do you think it´s so unusual then? Just because it lacks HPfilters?

The idea was to build an entire system with just GZ but if there´s no sub that suits me, well then I´ll have to give that idea up.

Let´s see if there´ll be more opinions tomorrow.
